The Nakodar city police have booked a village driver on charges of causing death by negligence, rash driving, and mischief.
The investigating officer (IO) Kuwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Jaskaran Singh a resident of Dherian village.
Ramma Ranni a resident of Basti Bawa Khel Jalandhar has complained to the Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police that that the accused was driving his car vary fast and negligently and hit her son Aman Kamar’s motorcycle on November 6, 2021 at turn of Aalowal -Dherian villages, who has succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
IO said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence), 279(rash driving on public road) 337 .338(causing grievous hurt to any person by doing any act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life, or the personal safety of others) and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
