NAKODAR
The total purchase of paddy by the state government and private agencies from farmers crossed 9,56916 Lakhs under the jurisdiction of the Nakodar market committee on Tuesday.
Committee secretary Tejindar Kumar said we have received only 78 percent of paddy in all gran markets compared to last year which amounts to 22 percent less arrival and may not achieve targets of 12,26363 lakhs quintals purchased. He said this is due to a fall off of about 5-10 quintals in yield per acre due to various reasons.
