Vet Varsity gets project for Pashu Palak Tele Advisory Kendra

(SUBHEAD) Ludhiana: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD has sanctioned a project entitled “Establishment of Pashu Palak Tele-Advisory Kendra at GADVASU, Ludhiana” to Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. This centre was inaugurated by Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU, along with Dr. Rajiv Siwach , Chief General Manager, NABARD, Chandigarh. Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director of Extension Education, GADVASU welcomed the participants and briefed about functioning of the project. In inaugural address, Dr. Siwach highlighted the need of such projects in meeting with the uncertainties of livestock farmers viz. fodder production, climate change, weather linked insurance, artificial insemination, etc. While mentioning about the previous collaborations of NABARD with GADVASU, he stated that NABARD will always be collaborating with GADVASU in future for such innovative and utilitarian projects for the farming community. He stated that in recent COVID-19 pandemic, such projects will be of immense use to the livestock farmers wherein they can dial-in for obtaining need-based scientific information.(MOREPIC1)
