Fifteen booked for assaulting Shahkot villager damaging car

 

NAKODAR

 The Nakodar city police have booked fifteen miscreants on the charges of assaulting a Shahkot village resident and damaging his friend’s car.

Investigating officer (IO) Rajinder Pal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sunni son of Nek Chand a resident of Udham Singh Nagar here, his brother Ajay, and Raman, Tanu, and Shiva all residents of the same locality, and their ten unidentified accomplices.

Pawan Kumar a resident of Meinye Wal village under Shahkot police station complained to the police that he along with his friend Mangal Singh came to Nakodar on June 2 to cleanse a house in a colony in Udham Singh Nagar the accused attacked him and his friend and damaged his friend’s car and threatened them with dire consequences.

 

IO said a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt),342(wrongful confinement) 506(criminal intimidation )427(mischief) 506(criminal intimidation), and 148 and 149(rioting ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
