The Lohian Khas police have arrested two drug peddlers on charges of selling heroin.
Investigating officer (IO) Govinder Singh said that 10 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurwinder Singh son of Harbans Singh a resident of Dashmesh Colony ward no 1 and Pardeep Kumar alias Pardeep son of Jagga Singh a resident of Mohalla Dhumanna ward no.4, Lohian Khas.
IO said a case under sections 21/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a motorcycle on which they were traveling with the contraband.
The Nakodar Sadar police arrested a woman drug peddler Baljinder Kaur wife of Shinder Pal a resident of Lattian Wal village in Kapurthala with 90 intoxicant tablets and Baljinder Singh alias Motu son of Buta Singh a resident of Talwandi Salem village with 102 intoxicant tablets said IO Nirmal Singh.
