The Lohian Khas police have arrested a woman on the charge of brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Balwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Kulbir Kaur wife of Sat Pal a resident of Chacho Wal village .155 litters of Lahann (raw liquor),20 bottles of hooch, and utensils for brewing and storing lahann were recovered from her possession. A case under section 61/1/14 of the excise act has been registered against the accused.
The Mehat Pur police also arrested a local resident Dhana Ram with 48 bottles of hooch said IO Jaspal Singh
