The Nurmahal police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.
Investigating Officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that 72 intoxicant tablets(loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Lehmabar Singh, son of Sarwann Singh, a resident of Pati Badal Ki, Bundala village.
IO stated that a case has been registered under sections 22/ 61/ 85 of the NDPS Act against the accused.
The Nakodar Sadar police arrested drug peddler Jatindar alias Kaka, son of Thakur, a resident of Raheem Pur village, with 11 intoxicant tablets, said IO Jaspal Singh.The Lohian Khas police arrested drug peddler Akashe Kumar Bagi, son of Kulwindar Pal Singh, a resident of Mureed Wal village, with 25 intoxicant tablets, said IO Avtar Singh.
