SHAHKOT
The Shahkot police have arrested two villagers on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officers Surjit Singh and Sukhwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sandip Kumar and Sukhdev Raj residents of Haji Pur Jhirri village and 35 bottles of hooch were recovered from their possession. Cases under section 61/1/14 of the excise act have been registered against the accused.
