Investigating Officer (IO) Nirmal Singh said the accused has been identified as Harmesh Singh, son of Gurlal Singh, a resident of Buta village under Subhan Pur police station, Kapurthala.IO said the police have received information that the accused is coming from Mehatpur in his vehicle with the contraband, going to Nakodar, and was chased, who stopped his car in Shahkot bazar and fled away, and 55 grams of smack were recovered from his vehicleIO said a case under sections 21-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused in the Shahkot police station, and further investigation is on.
