The crime branch of the Jalandhar (rural) police has arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling heroin.
The investigating officer (IO)Nirmal Singh said that 270 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurmit Singh alias Gopi son of Subeg Singh a resident of Dulle Singh Wala village under Mallan Wala police station in Feroze Pur district.
IO said that a case under section 21(c)/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Lohian Khas police station and impounded his motorcycle on which he was traveling with the contraband.
