The Lohian Khas police have booked a motorcyclist on the charge of causing death by negligence.
The investigating officer (IO)Kashmir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sonu son of Amar Nath a resident of near Baba Masta Ji, Lohian Khas.
Kasturi Lal a resident of ward no.7 complained to the police that the accused was driving a motorcycle very fast and rashly and hit a motorcycle being driven by his son Viki near Phul Chowk on April 4 and was seriously injured who succumbed to his injuries in a Jalandhar hospital
IO said a case under sections 304-A(causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving on a public way) 337,338(causes hurt to any person by doing any act rashly or negligently as to endanger human life, or the personal safety of others), of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
