The Bilga police have booked unidentified persons on the charges of brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Ashwani Kumar said that the accused were brewing illicit liquor in Mand area of Sutlej River near Bhode village. The police raided the spot and recovered 560 bottles s of hooch, and 200 litters Lahann(raw liquor) utensils for brewing and storing lahann were recovered from the accused who managed to flee.
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
