Punjab government will take action- Bhagwant Mann on Drug reports

Faridkot
Finally, much awaited news has come from Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann where he has claimed that the government will take action against the accused whose names would figure in the sealed cover drug reports.
The CM has tweeted in this regard today.
The ball had come to the AAP government's court after Punjab and Haryana High court had opened the three sealed investigation reports and forwarded those to the government for further action.
As per some leaked information doing rounds for the past years, some very influential persons are allegedly involved in running drug rackets in Punjab and it would be seen if the Bhagwant Mann led AAP government would be in a position to take any action against those.
The issue of drugs is not as simple as it looks.Even besides some politicians, high profile police officers may also be involved in it.
The opening of the reports may be a damaging and denting cause to some senior politicians in the Jalandhar by elections if the government makes those reports public and takes quick action on those.
Another fourth sealed envelope is yet to be opened by the High court.
The 4 sealed envelopes having investigation reports related to the drugs were pending in the high court for a long time.
About the sealed cover reports culture, the chief justice of India, Mr DY Chandrachud had also expressed his concern when the union government wanted to provide the court some information in a sealed cover.
The CJI had said that he was personally not in favour of sealed cover reports.
