The Mehat Pur police have booked four persons including two women on the charge of assaulting a woman.
The investigating officer (IO) Bhupindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Navneet Saini a resident of BBMB colony, Jalandhar Nirupama Sainni wife of Amrit Pal Sainni a resident of the same locality, her son Sanjiv Kumar and daughter Jasmeen Sainni.
Harmit Kaur daughter of Kuljit Singh a resident of Salema village complained to the police that her husband Navneet and others accused assaulted and injured her and threatened to kill her.
IO said that a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 342(wrongful confinement) 427 (mischief),506(criminal intimidation ), and 120-B(criminal conspiracy ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
