The Shahkot police have booked ten e persons including two women on charges of outraging a woman’s modesty, voluntarily causing hurt, and rioting.
The investigating officer (IO) Balvir Chand said that the accused have been identified as Viki, his wife Monika and son Sahil, Kanto wife of Kato, and her son Lovi and Jaskaran all residents of Jain colony Shahkot, Sonu a resident of Nakodar and their three unidentified accomplices.
Parween wife f Tarsem a resident of the Jain colony complained to the police that the accused barged into her house by breaking the main gate assaulted her and her sons and tore her T-Shirt.
IO said that a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 354-(assault to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) 345(wrongful confinement of person for whose liberation writ has been issued · ),427(mischief) and 148 and 149(rioting ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
