The Nakodar city police have identified and arrested a bus driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.
The investigating officer (IO) Sarabjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sukhwant Singh son of Harjit Singh a resident of Bughi Pura village under Mehanna police station Moga
Mohamad Rafik a resident of Mudh village had complained to the police that the accused was driving his bus (PB07-BV-6559) very fast and rashly and hit a motorcycle being driven by his brother-in-law Mohamad Vaseef on March 17 on the Nakodar -Jalandhar Road near Nangal Jiwan village killing Vaseef and his wife Jawi.
IO said a case under section 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving on a public way) 337,338(causes hurt to any person by doing any act rashly or negligently as to endanger human life, or the personal safety of others), and 427(mischief) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
