Four  arrested  for helping Amritpal to escape

 

 SHAHKOT

The Shahkot police have arrested four accused on the charges of helping “Waris Punjab De “chief Amrit Pal Singh to escape .

The Station House Officer (SHO) Gurindar Jit Singh Nagra said that the accused have been identified as Manpreet Singh alias Manna son of Harwindar Singh a resident of Nawan Kila village,  Harpreet Singh alias Happy son of Nirmal Singh a resident of Kotla Nodh Singh under Bullowal police station in Hoshiar Pur, Gurbhej Singh alias Bheja son of  Balvir Singh a resident of Gundran under Baja Khana police station in Farid Kot and Gurdeep Singh alias Deepa son of Mukhtiar Singh a resident of Bal Nau village under Nakodar Sadar police station. 

SHO said that the police received a piece of information that a Brezza’s car (Pb-o2-EF-3343) which was used by Amitpal Singh on March 18 to flee and is parked in a shed adjoining house of Manpreet Singh in Nawa Kila village and all four accused helped Amritpal Singh to flee from Nangal Ambian village by providing two motorcycles. 

 

SHO said that Brezza has been recovered from Nawan Kila village and recovered from the vehicle a 315-bore rifle, 50 cartridges, a Walkie Talkie set, a mobile phone and dresses of Amrit  Pal Singh, swords and other materials and a case under sections 212,216( harbouring offender whose apprehension has been ordered ) and sections 25/27 of the Aram Act has been registered against the accused and further investigations are on.
