NAKODAR

The Mehat Pur police have booked the  Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh and his two associates on the charges of house trespass, wrongful confinement, and criminal intimidation.

The Station House Officer (SHO) Balraj Singh said the other two accused have been identified as Harjit Singh son of Swaran Singh a resident of Jallu Khura village in Amrit Sar and Hardeep Singh son of Jaspal Singh a resident of Maddoke village in Moga.

Manjit Singh Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Uhowal village complained to the police that Harjit and Hardeep forcibly barged into his house on March 18 threatening him by the name of Amrit Pal with a pointed pistol and kept him confined.

 

SHO said a case under sections 449(house trespass to commit an offense punishable by death), 342(wrongful confinement), 506(criminal intimidation), and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act have been registered against the accused and assistant sub-inspector Jaspal Singh is conducting further investigations.
