The Shahkot police have booked thirteen persons for voluntarily causing grievous hurt, criminal intimidation, and rioting.
The Investigating officer (IO) Balvir Chand said that the accused have been identified as Balwindar Singh a resident of Punia village, Vishesh a resident of Rehrrwan village, Arash a resident of Mein Wal village and their ten unidentified accomplices.
Amartpal a resident of Punia village complained to the police that the accused was waylaid and attacked and injured and threatened him on March 11 and ransacked his motorcycle.
IO said that a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt ) 341(wrongful restraint ) 427(mischief) 506(criminal intimidation and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
