The Mehat Pur police arrested a woman for selling illicit liquor.
The investigating officer (IO) Harwindar Singh said 9 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused identified as Rajni Bala wife of Baldip Singh a resident of Mohalla Shadi Khan Mehat Pur. A case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act was registered against the accused.
The Lohian Khas police arrested Harjindar Singh of Ismail Pur village for brewing illicit liquor with 100 kilograms of Lahann (raw liquor ) 8 bottles of hooch and utensils for brewing, said IO Mohan Lal
