NURMAHAL

The Nurmahal police have booked four proclaimed offenders including two women on the charge of non-appearing in court.

The Station house officer (SHO) Bhushan Kumar   said that the accused have been identified as Manprit Kaur wife of Surjit Singh a resident of Sagar Pur village, Gurmit Kaur wife of Balvir Singh a resident of Bundala village, Charanjit Singh son of Pritam Singh a resident of Billi Chao village under Shahkot police station and Gurpal Singh son of Sohan Singh a resident of Gumtali village

 

SHO said that Phillaur Judicial Magistrate First Class Gur Mehtab Singh has ordered that the accused have been declared proclaimed offenders in a case of snatching and assault and cases under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881(cheque bounce case) and sections 406(breach of trust ) and 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty )  of the IPC  and should be booked under section 174-A(Non-appearance in response to a proclamation under section 82 of Act 2 of 1974).  SHO said the cases have been registered against the accused and further investigations have been handed over to sub-inspectors Manjit Singh, Paramjit Singh, and assistant sub-inspectors Kashmir Singh and  Daljit Singh.
