The Nurmahal police have arrested a villager on the charges of using caste remarks, abusive language, and criminal intimidation.
The investigating officer (IO) Amrik Singh ,said that the accused has been identified as Amrit Pal son of Dharmindar a resident of Kot Badal Khan village.
IO said that a case under sections 294(singing, reciting or uttering any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place, ) 427(mischief ),506(criminal intimidation), and 34 (committing the crime with common intention) of the IPC and sections 3(i)(iii) of the SC/ST Act was registered against the accused and his three accomplices.
