A Sangrur village resident was electrocuted on Saturday.
The investigating officer (IO)) Som Nath said that the deceased has been identified as Indarjit Singh (50) son of Pritam Singh a resident of Kanjla village under Dhuri police station in Sangrur district. The deceased was repairing a transformer at Billi Chao village when he was electrocuted. IO said the deceased was working as a farm hand with a farmer.
SHO said that the police acting under section 174 of the Cr.P. C. on a statement from Surjit Singh brother of the deceased handed over the body to the family after post-mortem.
