NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have booked eight persons including women on the charge of assaulting a man.
The investigating officer (IO) Bhajan Singh said that the accused have been identified as Charanjit Kaur wife of Pal Singh a resident of Nur Pur Chatha village and her seven accomplices.
Surjit Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused attacked him in a compound of Nakodar Civil hospital on February 8 and seriously injured him.
IO said that a case under sections 323, and 325(voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
