The Shahkot police have booked a motorcyclist on the charge of causing death by negligence.
The Investigating officer (IO) Salindar ingh said that the accused has been identified Kalu alias Karan son of Daya Ram a resident of Mukat Sar Sahib.
Gurpreet Singh a resident of Said Pur Jhirri village complained to the police that the accused was driving his motorcycle very fast and negligently on February 9 and hit his father Pawitar Singh’s moped and seriously injured him who succumbed to his injuries on March 2.
IO said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving on a public road) and 427(mischief) of the IPC have been registered against Kalu.
