The Shahkot police have booked five Feroze Pur villages residents on the charge of criminal intimidation and rioting.
The investigating officer (IO) Lakhvir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Jagsir Singh son of Bagicha Singh , Gurkit Singh son of Malook Singh , Sanam son of Ramesh Kumar,offencesnd Sukha son of Karnail Singh all residents of Sher Khan village under Kulgarhi police station and Manjit Singh son of Patras a resident of ward no.13 Mallan Wala.
Gur Singh Parmar a native of Madh Pradesh and presently working at Chak Bahmannia toll plaza complained to the police that the accused traveling in the vehicle (PB-10-W-1800) came to the place on February 16 evening and assaulted toll plaza employees and threatened them at a point of 315 bore rifle and crossed plaza without paying the required amount.
IO said a case under sections 506(criminal intimidation ) and 148 and 149(rioting ) of the IPC and sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
