Bargari police of Faridkot district have claimed to have arrested one person,Hardeep Singh alias Gabbar, a resident of Rulia Singh Nagar Bargari and recovered 15 kg of poppy husk from his possession.
The police have registered a case against the accused at police station Bajakhana of Jaitu sub division.
The police said that it stopped the accused on a tip off with a grey coloured plastic bag.
"Sun Inspector Sukhdarshan Kumar, in charge of the Bargari police post reached the spot on getting the information in this regard. The search of the accused was carried out as per laid down guidelines and it was found to be a 15 kg of poppy husk in the bag of the accused," reads a police complaint registered against the accused.
"A case has been registered under section 15 B,61/85 of NDPS act and further investigation is on," says Sukhdarshan Kumar,in charge of police post Bargari.
