The Nurmahal police have booked a local resident on the charge of assaulting another resident.
The investigating officer (IO) Kulwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gagan Deep alias Gagu a resident of Mohalla Kotla.
Baljindar Singh a resident of the same locality complained to the police that the accused assaulted and injured him on January 5
IO said that a case under section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
