NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have booked unidentified criminals on the charge of an unsuccessful attempt to loot money from an unguarded ATM at the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) branch situated on Shankar Road near the bus stand on Saturday night.
Bank manager Nikita Sekhawat complained to the police that the accused broke open the locks of the ATM shutter and break open CCTV cameras but were unable to break open the machine and no money was stolen.
The investigating officer Kulwindar Singh said that a case under sections 457(house-trespass in the night), 380(theft in dwelling house) 511(offenses punishable with imprisonment for life or another imprisonment), and 427(mischief) of the IPC had been registered against unidentified accused
