The Bilga police have booked four members of a family including a woman on the charge of assaulting a villager.
The investigating officer (IO) Anwar Masih said the accused have been identified as Sukhdev Singh son of Nanak Singh a resident of Burj Hassan village his wife Soma and sons Sunny and Saabi.
Satnam, Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked him with clubs and bricks and injured him on January 5 and threatened him by pointing at him a piston like weapon.
IO said a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt0 341(wrongful restraint ) 506(criminal intimidation ) and 34(committing crime with common intention ) of the IPC and sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
