“We hope that both the ministers unblock tractor 2 twitter and face our questions.In a democratic system, the government must face the questions of the people. According to the team tractor 2 twitter, Cabinet ministers Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Harjot Singh Bains have blocked the tractor 2 twitter account from their officials twitter accounts today,allegedly irritated over their questions.
The team said that it has been continuously raising the voice thousands of the people from dozens of villages who are the victims of alleged pollution caused by a distillery in village Mansoorwala,Zira.(Ferozepur)
The team alleged that it is an unwelcome move by the ministers.
“The AAP claims to be a party of the common man, but its ministers could not face the straightforward questions raised by team Tractor 2 twitter . It is very unfortunate that AAP ministers have blocked us from their twitter handles,” the team tractor 2 twitter said in a press release to the media today.
“Even we had been raising the voice of the farmers during the farmers agitation against the Narendra Modi led government for over a year, except Ajay Mishra Tanny, the minister of state whose son was allegedly involved in the Lakhimpur Kheri mowing down incident, no BJP leader had blocked us. But surprisingly,AAP cabinet ministers have blocked us today who are just in power for 8 months,” the team alleged.
“In a democratic system, everyone has a right to ask any question to the government or government functionaries. But blocking or shutting the doors of communication is very unfortunate. If we raise genuine questions related to the farming and environment, the ministers should answer them or may choose to remain silent, but blocking us from their twitter accounts is very condemn-able,” said a member of the team tractor 2 twitter wishing not to be quoted.
“Earlier, Harbhajan Singh,AAP Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab , blocked us from his account as we continue to ask the MPs to raise the questions of the public interest in the Parliament and if they do not raise, we question them. It disturbs the people in power and they block us,” he said.
The team said that they use decent language in tweets and if we convey the wrong message and are away from facts, they can be challenged on this basis.
“We have been making the people aware how the Zira distillery is causing pollution which has led to the fatal diseases and have taken a toll on the public health and environment, but AAP leaders are not ready to face our questions,” alleged the team.
The team has conveyed their displease to the Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP National convener Arvind Kejriwal in tweets and hope the ministers unblock their account and face questions.
