The Jalandhar(rural) police senior superintendent of police (SSP) Swarndeep Singh on Friday chaired a crime meeting in which all gazetted officers participated.
In a press note issued by the police, it said that the SSP
told them that their target in 2023 would be to strictly deal with threatening telephone calls for ransom and drug peddlers and no criminal will be spared.
SSP said that strict will be taken in all cases under the NDPS Act and against all anti-social elements.
He appealed to the youth to keep themselves away from drugs and solved blind murder cases adding that this would be his target in 2023.
He said that during his five-month tenure he has taken strict action against gangsters and drug peddlers.
SSP directed all officers to arrest proclaimed offenders in NDPS Act cases and strict action should be taken against all anti-social elements and the security of religious institutes should be maintained and checked.
