Faridkot police arrested 5 persons, recovered Rs 4.40 lakh besides 3 weapons

The district police of Faridkot have claimed to have arrested five persons from Kotkapura on a tip off who had allegedly looted Rs 5 lakh from  businessmen father -son duo on December 27.
A case was registered in this regard at the police station Sehna of Barnala district.
The police said that sub inspector Pritam Singh got a tip off in this regard that the 5 persons who had looted  businessmen father-son duo in Barnala district at gunpoint are present in Basti Nayan Wali in Kotkapura and are allegedly preparing for another loot in the area in the car.
"If the police raid the place, it can nab all the accused and bust the module of criminals," the police said.
The police raided the place and arrested the five persons from the spot.
The police have arrested Arvinder Singh alias Ravi of village Lambwali,Lovepreet Singh alias Lovi and Gurbhinder Singh alias Bhinder, both residents of village Bargari of the district besides two others,Arshdeep Singh alias Cheeni of Bajakhana town of the district and Mandeep Singh alias Sonu of Kotkapura town of the district.
The police claimed that it has recovered a .315 bore Desi revolver with 5 live cartridges,a .32 bore revolver with 3 cartridges and  Car besides Rs 4.40 lakh cash out of looted Rs 5 Lakh from Barnala district.
The police shared this information in a press conference headed by SP(D)Gagnesh Kumar besides Shamsher Singh Shergill,DSP Kotkapura besides inspector Amritpal Singh,SHO city Kotkapura.
A case has been registered in this regarding the 5 under sections 399 and 402 of IPC besides arms act at city police station Kotkapura.
Further investigation is on in the case.
