The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager drug peddler on the charge of selling poppy husk after more than one year of registering a case.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Balraj Singh that the accused has been identified as Paramjit Singh alias Pamma son of Surjit Singh a resident of Rai Pur Gujran village
SHO said that 75 kilograms of poppy husk were recovered from the possession of her mother Gurdev Kaur alias Gurdeva on November 3, 2021, but he managed to flee from the spot.
SHO said that a case under section 15 /61/85 of the NDPS Act was registered against the accused.
