SHAHKOT
The Shahkot police have arrested a villager on the charge of brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Nirmal Singh l said that the accused has been identified as Ashok Kumar Alias Sokha a resident of Kanganna village.80 kg lahann(raw liquor) and utensils for brewing were recovered from his possession. A case under section 61/1/14 of the excise act has been registered against the accused.
