The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor. The Investigating Officer Sarwann Singh said 7 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused identified as Tarsem Singh alias Sema a resident of Khurla Pur village. A case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act was registered against the accused.
