The Lohian Khas police have booked two juveniles on the charge of sodomizing a 5-year-old child.
The investigating officer (IO) Govindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Ravi son of Chhindi and Sukhprit Singh alias Sonu son of Rajwindar Singh residents of Mandala Chhana village.
The mother of the victim complained to the police that the accused Ravi took her son to his house where he sodomized the child and another accused Sukhwindar Singh video graphed shameful act on his smartphone.
The complaint said the child was seriously injured and admitted to a private clinic and when his condition deteriorated, he was referred to Lohian civil hospital from where doctors referred him to Jalandhar civil hospital
IO said that a case under sections 377(unnatural offense) and 506(criminal intimidation and 34(committing the crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 5/6/15 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and 2019 have been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
