The Nakodar city police on Tuesday claimed to solve a theft incident in a house and arrested a household servant.
Nakodar deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Harjindar Singh told the media that the accused has been identified as Harjot Singh alias Happy son of Buta Singh a resident of Kot Badal Khan village under Nurmahal police station.
Makhan Singh Sanghera, a resident of Mohalla Sundar Nagar complained to the police that the accused was working as a household servant in his house for the last seven years and stole jewelry from his house.
DSP said stolen jewelry has been recovered from the possession of the accused and registered a case under sections 457(lurking house-trespass) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the IPC against him.
