The Shahkot police have booked three persons including a Jalandhar-based stamp vendor on the charges of fraud and criminal conspiracy.
The investigating officer (IO) Sarabjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Dinesh Kumar son of Ram Singh a resident of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Jalandhar and a stamp vendor and Bachan Singh son of Ghuda Singh a resident of Bajwa Kalan village and his son Jaspal Singh
Ajaib Singh a resident of Dhando Wal village complained to the senior supervenient of police Jalandhar (rural) that the accused hatched a conspiracy and prepared a fake agreement to usurp his land and committed an act of fraud.
IO said that a case under sections 420(cheating),465,467,468,471(fraud), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
