Nurmahal villager booked for snatching car, cash, laptop, mobiles

 

NAKODAR

 The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a Nurmahal village resident on the charge of snatching car, cash, mobiles, and a laptop.

The Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj said that the accused has been identified as Mandip Singh alias Happy son of Rachhpal Singh a resident of Natt village under Nurmahal police station.

Ranit Sharma a resident of Kandola Kalan village under Nurmahal police station complained to the police that the accused waylaid him near Sidham Station Wale village on December 21, sprayed chili powder in his eyes, and attacked him with a knife and snatched his car, purse containing Rs 2000 and important documents, two smartphones and  a laptop and a tablet ..

IO said that a case under section 379-B(snatching)323(voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigations are on.
