NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a thief on the charge of stealing cash from a village gurdwara.
The investigating officer (IO) Amarjit Singh said that the accused had been identified as Kulwant Singh alias Laddi son of Harchain Singh a resident of Mudh village.
Jagir Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into the gurdwara on 20 December night and stole Rs 600 cash from a coin box.
IO said that a case under section 380 (theft in dwelling house) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigation is on.
