The Shahkot police have arrested three persons including two women on charges of outraging woman’s modesty, voluntarily causing hurt, and committing crimes with common intention.
The investigating officer Harbhajan Lal said that the accused have been identified as Lachhmann Dass a resident of Dheena village under Sadar Jamsher police station, his wife Kamlesh, and daughter Joti.
Simranjit Kaur wife of Deepak Kumar a resident of Dheena village and belonging to Dhandowal village had complained to the police that the accused Lachhmann was looking at her in an unpleasant way and inappropriately touched her on November 10 when she was preparing tea and assaulted her along with his wife and daughter
IO said that a case under sections 354(criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354-D (follows a woman and contacts or attempts to contact such woman to foster personal interaction repeatedly, despite a clear indication of disinterest )323 and 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
