Faridkot: The Muktsar police on Saturday exhumed the deadbody of 20 years old Harmandeep Singh, a residnet of village Kotbhai,ten days after he was allegeddly murdered by his abductors.
The victim was kidnapped from his village on November 25 and the family of the deceased had allegedly received two letters and some phone calls demanding Rs 30 lakh as ransom to set him free.
The family had also informed the police which started an investigation in the case and arrested some suspects.
Some persons, arrested in this connection have allegedly confessed to the police that the victim had been killed about ten days back.
His dead body has been exhumed from village Kotbhai, which falls under Giddarbaha subdivision of the district.
