NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar has booked five persons on the charge of assaulting a villager.
The investigating officer (IO) and Shankar police post-in-charge Sanjivan Singh said that the accused have been identified as Ajit Singh, Harwindar Singh, Jagdeep Singh residents of Sarihn village, and Jagraj Singh a resident of Chak Muglanni village.
Suba Singh a resident of Sarihn village complained to the police that the accused attacked and seriously injured him on December 14.
IO said that a case under sections 323,324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means), 341(wrongful restraint 506(criminal intimidation), and 148 and 149 (rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
