The Nurmahal police have arrested a village on the charge of snatching a woman’s purse.
The investigating officer (IO) Amrik Singh said that the accused has been identified as Balwindar Singh alias Bittu son of Gurjindar Singh a resident of Burj Hassan village.
IO said Kuldip Kaur a head teacher of Kot Badal Khan village private school had complained to the police that she was coming out from a bank branch after withdrawing money when two motorcycle-borne miscreants had snatched her purse containing Rs 20,000.
IO said that a case under section 379-B (snatching) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
