Three gangsters arrested for murdering Nakodar cloth merchant, his gunman

 

NAKODAR

Four days after the gruesome crime, the Nakodar city police arrested three gangsters on the charge of murdering Nakodar cloth merchant Bhupinder Singh Chawla alias Timmi and his gunman constable Mandeep Singh.

 Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police Swarandeep Singh and Nakodar city police station house officer (SHO) and investigating officer of this case  Labh Singh said that the accused had been identified as Monu Dagar son of Ram Kumar a resident of Haveli village under Murthal police station, Sonipat district Haryana, Kamaljit Singh alias Shera alias Kamal son of Darshan Singh a resident of Jandi village under Bullowal police station, Hoshiar Pur and Mohamad Yaseen alias Jassi alias Akhtar son of Mohamad Yaseen a resident of Patti Gujrati Ki, Shankar village in Nakodar who have been brought on production warrants from deferent jails

Harmindar Singh a resident of Adarsh colony, Jalandhar Road, Nakodar, and the father of the deceased has complained to the police that his son Bhupinder Singh and his gunman Mandeep Singh boarded their car (PB-36-H-2525) at 8.15 PM on Wednesday after closing their ready-made clothes shop in Royal Towers market. He was waiting to board the vehicle when suddenly three motorcycle-borne accused started firing at Bhupinder and Mandeep. He moved near the car and saw both writhing and wriggling after being injured in firing and gunman Mandeep told him that he had fired from his weapon.

Harmindar Singh said that he rushed his son and his gunman to a private hospital where Bhupinder Singh succumbed to injuries and transferred Mandeep Singh to a Jalandhar hospital where he breathed his last.

He had said in his complaint that his son Bhupinder Singh had received a WhatsApp call from a phone number 6014767177 on November 1 for Rs 30 lakhs ransom and Bhupinder Singh was provided two gunmen

SHO said a case under sections 302(murder) 307(murder attempt) and 34(committing the crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act was registered against the accused and further investigations are on.
