The Mehat Pur police have booked three residents r on the charges of outraging the modesty of a minor girl.
The investigating officer (IO) Sarwann Singh said that the accused has been identified as Hardial Singh alias Gandhi son of Balwindar Singh a resident of Mohalla Khurram Pur, Mehat Pur.
The victim a resident of the same locality had
complained to the police that the accused barged into her house on March 16 night and tore her clothes and touched her inappropriately.
IO said that a case under sections 452 (house trespass) 354(Assault of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) 354-B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the IPC and section 8/12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered against the accused who was released on bail.
