The Lohian Khas police have arrested a villager on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
The investigating officer (IO) Sarabjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurjot Singh alias Jot a resident of Jalal Pur Kalan village
.
Narindarjit Kaur a resident of the same village had complained to the police that the accused and his accomplices had physically assaulted and tore her clothes and threatened her with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),323(voluntarily causing hurt) 341(wrongful restraint) 506(criminal intimidation) 148 and149 (rioting) of the IPC was registered against the accused and others.
