Ferozepur: Border Security Force (BSF) troops shot down a drone near Ferozepur Indo-Pak border Jagdish outpost, according to the BSF official statement.
Many times drone activity was seen from Pakistan side towards India on Firozpur. Several owl bombs were also fired in the direction of firing. Due to this incident, a search operation was also conducted in the entire area. While during the search operation, BSF and Punjab Police recovered a large drone lying in the field, said official.
According to the official statement, BSF said “On the night of 08th & 09th Nov' 2022 at about 2325 hrs, alert BSF troops of 136 Bn BSF deployed at border heard buzzing sound of suspected drone entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area falling near Village -Gandu Kilcha, District - Ferozepur. As per drill, the BSF troops tried to intercept the suspected drone by firing at the drone. The drone was damaged and fell down on the ground in farming field in the depth area. BSF cordoned the whole area and also informed the concerned sister agencies.
