NEW DELHI: Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani turned 95 on Tuesday. On the occasion of his birthday, Narendra Modi visited Adani residence to wish him. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present with PM Modi.
The meeting between Narendra Modi and Advani lasted for about 40 minutes and the cake was cut.
Sharing the video of his meeting with Advani, PM Modi wrote, "Went to Advani Ji’s residence and wished him on his birthday. His contribution to India’s growth is monumental. He is respected all across India for his vision and intellect. His role in building and strengthening the BJP is unparalleled. I pray for his long and healthy life”.
Visuals shared by public broadcaster Doordarshan showed PM Modi walking in to the lawn with Mr Advani's daughter Pratibha Advani before he gave him a bouquet and sat down for a chat. They were seen smiling and talking animatedly, sitting next to each other, though it wasn't clear what they spoke as the video did not have conversation audio.
Rajnath Singh tweeted- "I pray to God for his good health and long life."
Last year too, on Advani's birthday, Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had reached his house.
